Maui Math Circle Session 3
On Saturday, November 19, 2016, middle and high school students from Iao Intermediate, Maui High School, and Seabury Hall volunteered at Pomaika'i Elementary School for the third session of Maui Math Circle to help students learn advanced math concepts and problem solving skills.
There were about 70 students from third, fourth, and fifth grade in attendance. The students learned about perimeter and area, fractions and percentages, and geometry.
We would like to thank our adult volunteers: Clarice Lee, Michele Sera, Sean Wilson, and Nytn Yashiro.
Thank you to our student leaders: Alana Battad, Marielle Cendana, David Gilbert, Nick Heerema, Jason Huynh, Gabi Kanoa, Ana Lavongtheung, Braden Nishimoto, David Shiraki, Mikhaila Sung, Kaitlyn Takeno, Kady Tanaka, Dan Vu, Ameera Waterford, and Angela Yasutomi.
